about us

Noel and Denise met in 1969, and after some time Noel took Denise
home to meet his parents. Denise's first introduction to the
Pekingese breed was to meet a really ugly Pekingese named Chang,
owned by Noel's parents! Chang bailed Denise up in the corner! So it wasn’t a pleasant introduction to Pekingese for Denise! Chang was a Chun Red, a colour which
they have never seen again. His pedigree was mainly Copplestone.
After some time, Chang grew on Denise, and decided that she was ok .. and so the love affair began.
At that time Noel worked for a stationary firm, but when his mother bought a very successful florist shop in Newtown,
New South Wales, an inner suburb of Sydney. Noel and Denise joined the family business until many years later
when Noel decided to head in another direction, and went into sales for
all forms of home security .. a job that he still gets a great deal of satisfaction from, and one that he has held for almost 35 years!
Denise spent her younger years raising their daughter Rana, with the help of Noels parents. The rest of her time was spent doing what she does best - showing her beloved dogs!
However, as Noels parents grew older Denise looked after, and cared for Noels dad until his passing.
She now is a Carer for the Disability Services of the Queensland Government, and is extremely proud of her achievements in
that field.
Noel and Denise King live in
Churchable, Queensland, on the outskirts of the city of Brisbane, on a property
well suited to their lifestyle.
Brisbane is the state capital of the Australian state of Queensland and is the largest city in that state. With a population of 1,945,639 it is also the third most populous city in Australia, behind Sydney and Melbourne. The city is situated on the Brisbane River on a low-lying
flood plain between Moreton Bay and the Great Dividing Range in south-eastern Queensland. The local indigenous people knew the area as Mian-jin, meaning 'place shaped as a spike'. The city is named after Sir Thomas Brisbane, the Governor of New South Wales from 1821 to 1825. Brisbane's demonym is a
Brisbanite.
Chindara is situated in the foot hills of the Lockyer Valley, which is known as the "salad bowl of Queensland".
Noel and Denise have lived there since moving from New South Wakes almost thirty years ago.
They live on 40 acres and have no close neighbours, but they can see their lights at night time.
They are about two hours drive from Brisbane Airport and about 45 minutes from Toowoomba. It takes
just over an hour to get to Durack where the majority of the shows are held.
Noel has a race track for his horses where he jogs them up every morning. He has had a passion for the horse industry all of his life.
They love the tranquility of the country where their dogs get to roam free in huge established kennels, and only go to bed to sleep at night, or if
the weather doesn't allow it.
This district has really gone ahead in the time they have lived there.
There is a huge new shopping complex, a lovely Pub called Porters Plainlands Pub, where they have 2 meals for the price of one on a Tuesday night!
They usually meet up with friends, and have a meal on the deck. A great night out, and a good doggy chat!
There is also a very lovely German Butchery called Shultz Meat Tavern where
one can buy some very unusual meats, and delicious steaks and sausages and many delicacies. A Pizza Shop opened recently, and
a Bunning’s (Hardware chain) is going in very shortly.
Noel
and Denise spend most weekends at shows throughout Australia,
attending Royal Shows and Specialty Shows interstate with their
successful Pekingese and Pugs.
Thanks
for stopping by, and please come back often!
