Our beautiful Bridget arrived at the Rainbow
Bridge just a couple of years ago, and I haven’t had the courage to write about her until now, as every time I put pen to paper the tears just start to roll.
However, I feel I am ready and I owe it to Bridget to write a little something to keep her memory alive.
Sylvia O’Cass asked me if she could use my AUST. CH. CHINDARA STALLONE over one of her lovely girls, and I immediately agreed. Sylvia sent the girl to me, and I whelped the
litter for her. She produced AUST. CH. WINWEI TARLIA SHIRE, and
AUST. CH. WINWEI BRIDGET NIELSEN
Sylvia gave me the choice, and I chose Bridget, however, I titled both girls for
her. Sadly, Tarlia got pyometra and was de-sexed.
Bridget produced for 6 champions for us, and all true champions of the highest grade. Her daughter,
CHINDARA DRUM ROLL, a very much loved member of the family at
Spicknspan Kennels (owned by John and Patty Cannellis) left them some beautiful progeny. Her beautiful son
CH. CHINDARA GUNS AND ROSES who had an outstanding show career in Brisbane,
was then sold to Sydney, and went on to win many Best In Shows for the new owners at Frawai Kennels under the
guidance of Marie Patten, and captured the CONTEST OF
CHAMPIONS. One of the judges was the Pekingese Specialist Mr.
Peter Jeremy of Peteda Kennels.
Bridget also had some fabulous grandchildren in the form of FRAWAI AXELS’S ROSE (a daughter of
Guns and Roses), who in turn produced
CH CHINDARA AXELS AFFINITY (mother of CH. Frawai That’s Awesome),
and sister FRAWAI PINK WITH ATTITUDE, AUST. CH. CHINDARA TOMMY
GUNN, and
CH. CHINDARA MISHKOS LEGACY, the latter two multi Best in
Show winners.
Bridget lived to be nearly 20 years old with never a days sickness until the week she went to the Rainbow Bridge.
Rest in Peace darling Bridget.. and thank you for all the wonderful memories. |
